At Miller & Sons Chimney Services, we are committed to delivering a professional, reliable, and high-quality service. All chimney sweeping and associated work is carried out by a fully qualified technician who meets recognised national standards and holds the appropriate credentials.
While every service is undertaken with the utmost care and attention, only a visual inspection of the appliance and chimney system can be conducted as part of a standard visit. Due to the concealed construction of chimneys and their associated components, such observations cannot be taken as a guarantee that the system is entirely free from defects or underlying issues. Factors such as age, wear, previous misuse, or historic installation practices may affect the condition of the system.
Unless otherwise clearly advised by the homeowner or the individual providing access, Miller & Sons Chimney Services will reasonably assume that the appliance, flue, terminals, and all related components have been correctly installed, are structurally sound, and are suitable for sweeping.
In the unlikely event that a fault or failure occurs during the sweeping process, this should not be interpreted as negligence. A chimney system that is fit for purpose must be capable of withstanding routine cleaning and testing. Any damage or failure—whether involving consumable or fixed components—typically indicates a pre-existing condition that has been brought to light during the service.
For the safety and smooth delivery of our service, we kindly request that all pets and children are kept under close supervision throughout our visit. They should remain in a separate area, away from the workspace, and in the care of a responsible adult at all times. Miller & Sons Chimney Services cannot accept liability for any injury, loss, or disturbance involving pets or children during the course of our work.
Our service may require several trips between your property and our vehicle, during which access points may need to remain temporarily open. We respectfully ask that all valuables are secured in advance and kept clear of the working area. Responsibility for the security of personal belongings remains with the customer or their appointed representative.
